The space

Custom oak windows showcase the beauty of the Texas Hill Country and let in tons of natural light to highlighting the luxe wood floors, quartz countertops, and mod fixtures. With brand-new king size beds, large picture windows (and blackout curtains!), 58” TVs, and thoughtful décor, the two ample bedrooms ensure guests have all the comforts of home. Both bright and spacious bathrooms feature walk-in showers with rain heads, high-quality bath products, full-length mirrors, unique sink views, and fluffy bath towels for a spa-like experience – Hill Country style! Comfy couches and chairs in the living room invite you to kick back, relax, and enjoy the spectacular vistas outside the 7’X7’ windows or a movie on the 65” big-screen TV. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up some tasty cuisine, from dishes, serveware, and pots and pans to a full-size fridge with ice maker and breakfast items, gas oven and stove, dishwasher, microwave, and basic cooking supplies. You’ll find a stocked coffee bar, toaster, electric kettle, and other appliances in the butlers’ pantry. Fire up the grill, de-stress with a glass of local wine in the hot tub, and gather around the fire pit to swap stories under the Texas stars. If you’re looking for some healthy competition, playing cards and an assortment of board games are available!

During your stay at Sage Rock, you may be able to spot wild turkeys, white-tail and axis deer, armadillo, and porcupines, among other local wildlife. A hummingbird feeder on the back deck gets lots of activity from the tiny fliers!

Located 25 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg, this secluded property sits in the heart of the state’s wine region. As you make your way to the guesthouse, you’ll drive along a narrow, curvy escarpment, passing finger hills and, for those with sharp eyes, lots of local flora and fauna. Please be cautious and keep an eye out for deer on the road.
